Nikos Aliagas at the Mall

A wonderful Christmas Day this Saturday for Athens …. and everybody worked hard to take a large dose of Shopping therapy as the big celebration of Love approaches fast... very fast... The most of the Christmas bonus for the Greeks is already spent as many gifts must be bought and the Christmas dinner must be great. So... it is time to visit The Mall today.

One more reason to spend my time at the Mall was the event that my daughter organized. Nikos Aliagas was at the Mall for promotion purposes of a one of the 3 bigger providers of cellular technology in Greece .

I am so proud for Despina, my daughter, who won this week the third award for the event organization at the Hermes Awards. Those are awards which have established to laureate the best promo campaigns in Greece.

I was there to see the event and also watch Nikos Aliagas a multi-talented Greek who now test one more field of his talent. His fist CD is ready and circulated at the music shops in Greece.

Born to Greek parents in Paris in 1969, Aliagas worked for Radio France Internationale before moving to Tele Monte Carlo and then on to Euronews. His rise to fame began through Christine Bravo's “Union Libre,” a joyful television magazine featuring European stories and making comparisons between the different states, while talent show “Star Academy” (on TF1) established him as a leading television presenter. (The show was recently awarded with a Sept D'Or for best reality show.)

It was while working on “Union Libre” that he began commuting for professional reasons to Greece, initially as an anchorman for Alter channel.

Forever working on “building his bridges,” however, and while on the live set of “Star Academy,” Aliagas recently undertook a show for Greek state channel NET, interviewing personalities and stars ranging from soccer star Zinedine Zidane to eternal rocker Johnny Hallyday and fashion master Karl Lagerfeld.

The live show in Paris will come to an end one day and Aliagas is already thinking about his future in the French media. Plans include working in radio.

Whatever his professional choices may be, his future is assured, following in the footsteps of his past and his present.

And something more... for the girls... He is more handsome that you have ever imagined when you see his photo and watch him in TV programs. He has a very attractive image and a sunny personality.

Nikos interviewed by Dimitris Psematikas, a young radio producer of the Lampsi Radio Station. I like to wake up every morning with the music he chooses and he always brings smile in my face even at the time I drive at the high traffic roads of the Greek capital with the funny conversation that he has with his partner at the morning broadcasting of Lampsi, Katerina, a young and very promising radio producer and journalist.

A lot of people asked from Nikos Aliagas to pose with them for a photo. I like Nikos but I made the difference... I went to ask from Dimitris to stand with me for a photo. I told him that he brings the smile every morning and I love to be with people who make me feel happy.
Dimitris' surprise was big. He told to the participants of the event:
"This beautiful lady wants a photo with me".
It was so funny scene and Nikos Aliagas came quickly to check what happened at our side. He asked from me my camera and volunteered to shoot the photo. He told me:

"Now you have a photo from the hands of Nikos Aliagas".

So... enjoy the photo that Nikos has taken with the smile faces of Dimitris and me.
