World Equestrian Cup and Dog's competition |

After the last week's terrified experience I and my daughter decided to spend our last weekend trying to recover and make some plans for our future. We are alone… we are both singles but we have each other. Our relationship is not the usual relationship between a mother and a daughter. We enjoy being first of all friends. I have to admit that my daughter is more balanced type that me. I live following my impulses because that way I feel better with myself. Last Saturday I needed to visit a wedding exhibition to choose what I need to buy as at the end of this year I will be the first of honor at my best friend's wedding. My friends continue to honor me and place me so close to them… make me part of their family. So happy to feel this love around me… My daughter wanted to visit a dog's competition and she needed me as a company. So… we made a deal. She would join me at the wedding exhibition (which she really could not afford) and I would be with her at the dog's competition. We had a surprising well Saturday day with all these wedding stuff but we had to reply all the time about the date of our wedding. Well… God help me to survive from my daughter's nervous. Anyway I succeed and I enjoyed the free wine and food of the exhibition and a fashion show with wedding dresses. But best of all… I have found the hand made wedding wreath I searched for the wedding. Sunday morning and I was ready for the dog's competition. It was a nice sunny day and we visited the Olympic Equestrian Stadium of Markopoulo. Olympic Games of Athens 2004 have ended with great success for my country as organizers and left us with very impressive and beautiful stadiums. These Stadiums decorates our amazing capital. |

| We started from the Dog's competition. My daughter has decided to adopt a dog. We were there to be familiar with those new kind of creatures. My kids have grown up with cats… my cats, Sylvester and Roxani. Our kittens are more of 10 years members of our family but we realized that we can depend on them for our security. They are both too friendly with everybody… |

| Despina feels unsecured being alone at home and needed a dog partner. We have discussed about it and when I realized that she is ready for the responsibility I accepted it. So a new member soon at our family… |

| I walked at the different places where the competition of the races worked. Funny… It was like a beauty competition and some of the dogs felt like this… I could see this at their eyes… |

| But most of all I have enjoyed feeling this love between the dog and his/her boss. It is going to be a new experience. Leaving with a dog… |

| After the competition we visited the World Equestrian Cup. I didn't know that Greece hosted for this year this cup. |

| The stadium is amazing. All this green mixed with the Jeep cars… We live at the world of promotion and of course the Cup needed a sponsor. |

| Horses… a proud and beautiful animal. |

| For me they care the spirit of freedom but there are no horses in Samos … so I enjoyed see them cooperating with the equestrians… men and the horse… Always wanted to feel this… the spirit of freedom and that was the reason I gave the name of the Lucky Luck's horse to my car. |

I had a wonderful weekend and I hope that you have enjoyed being part of it. This weekend I am going to travel one more time to Samos . It is a voting weekend for Greece and we go back to our cities to vote for our new Mayors. I have left my voting rights to Karlovasi.. the town I raised because I want some day to be back. So.. for now… The Samiotissa goes again to Samos. |
