This blog is not like all the others I have written until now. I have to forewarn you that what you are going to read is not something funny and it is has not written to please you.

This blog intents to inform you… to aware you… about a threat that exists and affects all of us. Sooner or later you will come in touch with this threat.

At the present modern life we live we have connected our life with our cellular phones. Something that came so natural has transformed in a real evolution and it has left nobody untouched. We have our mobiles all day at our pocket or our parses. We placed them on our desk at our office and beside our bed at night. We are really connected with this technology.

I have seen people talk at their hands free walking at the street and they look like crazy as it looks like they talk to themselves. I have seen people talking at their cell the time they eat, they drive, and they read the newspaper or order their lunch.

Our companies offer us free cellular phones and they pay for them in order to have us any time of the day or night. We do business, we flirt, and we broke our relationship with them.

This huge success brought a lot of money to the telecommunication companies. They have earned big money and they have been unhesitating. They govern our life and they could not stop before any hurdle.

The story has happened to my closed cycle of friends. I have introduced to you my friends, Christina and Vasilis, the parents of my God son, Theodoros.

Christina and Vasilis bought their apartment 5 years ago and started building their life in it. They married and they welcomed their first son in this apartment. They have set up a warm home and they loved each other enjoying a happy life.

Their home, a small 2 bedroom apartment was not far away from the center of Athens , close to the University of Athens and in an area which is over populated but still a peaceful and quiet neighborhood.

A warm summer evening and when we enjoyed our coffee at my friends' balcony I noticed that something new was added at the top of the apartment store at the opposite side of the small street. The distance between the 2 buildings are less than 10 m.

The new add at the top of the building looked like a chimney of a fireplace but it was a little bit different. I asked my friends about it but they believed that it was a chimney.

A few weeks passed and one morning Christina called me to tell me that what we thought that it was a chimney was only the cover of the antenna that one of the 3 big telecommunication companies which provides cellular telephony in Greece, has placed on the top of the apartment store.

The neighborhood was upside down. They have started running to ask what this means for their life. They asked the scientists, they read articles. Nothing secured them that this antenna will be harmless for their health and for the health of their children.

So… they started to fight for the remove of this antenna. They went to the court they took a decision from the court that the placement of the antenna was illegal. They went to the national company which controls the buildings… they took from them the decision that this antenna must be demolished. They went to the mayor of the city… again the municipality responsible authorities assured them that they are right, the antenna has set up at the top of the building without permission and it must be taken away from there.

So what? They have the right with them but the antenna after 3 months is still there and works. Vasilis was the leader of the people who tried to remove the antenna. He left his work for a few days to be presented where it needed.

He felt that he must fight for his son and for his family peace. Well that was what I would do in any occasion like this. I believe that it is important to be warriors in our life.

The antenna was still there and they wonder what to do. They make a try to inform the press. The reply was that the press would not interfere in this. The company gives a lot of money to the newspapers, magazines and TV channels for advertisement purposes.

After that the threat has come.

Someone informed Vasilis that he should stop fighting the big company otherwise he must be careful with his place at his company (a construction company) or even with his life.

This company represents the big money. Those people have power…

Today I went to their new home to help them set up it. I had with me my daughter and my aunt and we worked together to get out everything from the boxes and place them at the right place.

It is a new life for them. They have left their home; they have left their memories close to the covered antenna. They have threatened by the money.

The money has won this time and I can not accept it.

I wrote this blog to show you how justice could not touch the big money. How the big money could threat our lives and could affect our health.

Sooner or later we will have to face what Vasilis and Christina have faced.

Prepare yourselves for the fight. It is a new form of terrorism and we have to react.

Vasilis, Christina and the small neighborhood in Ilisia area, are the beginning.

I believe that we have to watch them and inform everybody for their moves. Check your neighborhood, search to find their antennas and inform the municipality authorities and police. It is a war we have to win.
